Thicker, greener turf starts in the soil
Most fertilizer programs you see around here are guys throwing a bag of product down and calling it a day. That is not what I do. New Hampshire soil runs acidic, and if you do not know what your pH is, you are guessing at every step after that. The lawn might green up for a couple weeks, then go right back to thin and patchy.
I am a licensed fertilizer applicator in NH (license NHPC-914). Every annual program starts with a soil test, gets corrected with lime when the pH calls for it, and runs on premium products that actually feed the soil instead of just flashing the grass green for a few days. The goal is a lawn that holds up year over year.
Soil pH testing before anything goes down
Acidic soil locks up nutrients. You can spread the best fertilizer on the market and the grass will not pull half of it out of the ground if the pH is off. The test takes a few minutes and tells me exactly what your lawn needs and what it does not.
Lime applications for NH soil
Most properties in this area need lime. It brings the pH back into the range where grass can actually use what you are feeding it. Skip this step and the rest of the program is working at half speed.
Premium products, including EC+ Enhanced Calcium with Humoxy
On the properties that warrant it, I run EC+ Enhanced Calcium with Humoxy. It is the same kind of professional-grade product I have used on properties like NH Motor Speedway, where the turf has to look right and hold up under heavy use. You get the result, not the cheap stuff that fades in a week.
Early-season programs and annual plans
Spring is where the season gets won or lost. Get the early application down on time and you set the lawn up for the rest of the year. Annual plans cover everything from the early-season feeding through the fall winterizer, with lime and soil work folded in based on what your property actually needs.
- Soil test first: pH and nutrient analysis before any product goes down.
- Lime when needed: Brings acidic NH soil back into a range where grass can actually feed.
- Premium products: EC+ Enhanced Calcium with Humoxy on properties that warrant it. Same standard used on NH Motor Speedway.
- Annual plan: Written schedule of applications timed to the NH growing season.
- Same-day quotes: Call or fill out the form and I will get you a number the same day.
